Rolling back hate speech, xenophobia: NCPMB SG Dr Chi Asafor on evaluation tour of Regions

The SG of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism (NCPMB), is on a Regional tour to evaluate the works of some civil society actors on the ground fighting against hate speech and xenophobia. 
According to the SG of the NCPBM, the fight against hate speech and xenophobia must be stepped up and taken seriously, especially when we consider the fact that there is upcoming presidential elections. He stressed on the need for these civil society organizations to do all in their efforts to roll back the phenomenon of hate speech ahead of the October 12, 2025 Presidential elections in order to guarantee peace and harmony before, during and after these elections. 
After the West Region with the same mission, the SG is in Bamenda the chief town of the North West Region as continuation of his evaluation mission. 
He greatly appreciated the works of these civil society organizations done so far in the North West Region including CAMASEJ and Association Civic Watch as regards fight against hate speech and xenophobia while at the same time urging them to redouble efforts to fight back these bad practices at a time when crutial 2025 October 12, presidential elections are by the corner.
