Councilors of Misaje Council celebrate development strides by the council in 2025

The Misaje council finally held its midterm evaluation session despite the odds. The session which took on last Friday September 12, 2025, was attended by some Divisional Delegates, all 25 councilors, traditional rulers of Misaje subdivision, community leaders, and chaired by the SDO of Donga Mantung.
In his welcome address of the session of the midterm evaluation and budgetary debate, for 2025, the Mayor called on councilors to be responsible through our the session in their various contributions as regard the raison d'etre of the midterm session. Mayor Sammy Mgbagta said the session is aimed at giving the public orientation on how far the council has gone with the realization of the 2025 budget as well as envisaging the 2026/2028 council budget would be presented.
The budgetary orientation debate allows for councilors to intervene in the upstream of the budgetary procedures to contribute and to ensure the definition by the council of a sound and effective budgetary policy.
Moreover, the budget orientation debate offers the deliberative organ the opportunity to debate each year on the sustainability of public finances through better monitoring of public deficits and debts, in order adopt a realistic and sincere budget.
Councilors were called up to evaluate and make necessary appraisals of the following; the execution of the current budget of 2025, the medium term budgetary framework, the medium term expenditures framework and the annual performance plan.

It was an opportunity for the Mayor to offer a minute of silence in memory of the late municipal treasurer of the Misaje council who died many months ago. 
Speaking to the councilors after a successful and satisfactory tour of some schools in Misaje subdivision to appraise the start of the new academic year, the SDO for Donga Mantung Basiliken George Magloire Emmanuel reminded councilors of upcoming crucial presidential elections of next October 12, 2025. He stressed on the need for councilors to work hard for the subdivision to win with a large margin during that election in order to guarantee the harmonious development of their subdivision as is the case.
