CDENO HOLDS 63RD BOARD MEETING AND ACCOUNTS SESSION

The North West Livestock Development Fund (CDENO) held its 63rd Board Meeting and Accounts Session on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the Institution's Conference Hall in Bamenda. The session provided an opportunity for members of the Board of Directors to review the institution's activities, financial performance and budget execution for the 2025 financial year.

Presiding over the meeting on behalf of the Board Chairman, the Governor of the North West Region, His Excellency Adolphe Lele L'Afrique, the Vice Chairman of the Board commended the Administrative Director,  Shupong Michael Mbah and the management team for the satisfactory implementation of activities during the 2025 fiscal year. He noted that the institution's performance was facilitated by the timely release of funds and the commitment of management and staff.

The Board was informed that significant progress was recorded under various programmes and projects implemented by the institution. Among the achievements highlighted were the production of 203,749 day-old chicks and 191 tonnes of livestock feed, contributing to increased livestock productivity and food security in the region.

The meeting further noted that through the Emergency Project to Combat the Food Crisis in Cameroon (PULCCA), support was provided to 1,876 vulnerable farmers, while assistance was extended to 470 livestock farmers aimed at improving production and strengthening livelihoods.

Board members equally reviewed the implementation of projects under the Integrated Agro-Pastoral and Fisheries Import Substitution Plan (PIISAH) and acknowledged the support of the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries and other government programmes geared towards strengthening the livestock sector.
The 2025 financial year recorded an execution rate of 98.12 percent, reflecting the institution's commitment to the effective implementation of its programmes and prudent management of resources.

The Board Meeting ended with recommendations aimed at consolidating the gains achieved and strengthening CDENO's contribution to livestock development, food security and rural livelihoods in the North West Region.
