Momo’s Mother: Hon. Prudencia Injoh – A Beacon of Resilience and Generosity in Mbengwi
Hon. Injoh Fo'o Ngang Prudencia is the Member of Parliament for Momo East Constituency (Mbengwi) in Cameroon’s North West Region. A graduate of the KDI School of Public Policy in South Korea, she has emerged as a resilient and generous leader amid years of sociopolitical crisis. Known affectionately as "Momo’s Mother," she has dedicated her tenure to peacebuilding, grassroots development, and empowering women and youth.
Her commitment to peace and advocacy is evident in her high-level engagements, including leading traditional rulers to the Prime Minister’s Office in 2024 to present the challenges facing Mbengwi. She has consistently pushed for the rehabilitation of the Bamenda-Mbengwi road and other infrastructure, using her parliamentary platform to bridge local suffering with national policy responses.
On the ground, Hon. Prudencia has delivered transformative empowerment projects. She has donated 5 tons of maize seeds, 100 bags of fertilizer, 5,000 day-old chicks, and farming tools to boost agriculture. In education, she has paid school fees, distributed books and bags, and awarded prizes to top students. She also equipped the Kob Integrated Health Centre with over 8 million CFA francs worth of medical supplies, directly improving maternal and child healthcare.
Her generosity and resilience have earned her public recognition, including an award as one of Cameroon’s most influential MPs. Through peace missions, educational support, agricultural revival, and healthcare interventions, she continues to exemplify servant leadership—proving that even in crisis, a determined leader can rebuild a community from the ground up.
