ANOTHER TRAGEDY—AND STILL NO LASTING SOLUTION
The reported killing of Police Commissioner Mbah Tobic Damase and the abduction of a school principal and five teachers in Wum are tragic consequences of our collective failure to secure a lasting solution to this conflict.
At this stage, we cannot conclusively attribute the attack to Ambazonian fighters. Rogue elements, saboteurs, criminal groups and individuals who directly benefit from prolonging the conflict must also be investigated.
Ordinary citizens continue to pay the price while others profit from the bloodshed. This tragedy must be independently investigated, the abducted educators released immediately and a credible peace process pursued without further delay.
