CDENO-PULCA train 300 North West beneficiary farmers on efficient goat rearing

The Djallonke sheep and high breed specie of goats to be distributed to these selected farmers after the training seminar at the conference hall of Ntamulung Presbyterian Church in Bamenda, today Thursday February 6, 
2025.
The training which focussed on production and management techniques for small ruminants, greatly benefitted the over 300 farmers drawn from across all the seven divisions of the North West Region. 
Each of the beneficiaries are expected to take home five goats comprising of four females and one male for multiplication. 
The beneficiaries were taught about the multiple advantages of keeping goats as a lucrative business for a livelihood. They were also taught the various ways of preparing feeds for their sheep and goats, using raw materials like maize, bone meal, rice bran, wheat bran, salt, etc. 
Speaking to The Watchdog Tribune during the training seminar this Thursday, the Director General of CDENO for the North West region, Mr. Shipong Michaels Mbah said that training greatly guarantees high production of goats and sheep and their safety. He urged all the beneficiaries to go and share the experienceand knowledge gathered with their neighbors back home. He enjoined them not to be selfish with the free gifts from government and do well to share when theiranimals starts producing more. This he emphasized is in line with government of ensuring food security for all.
