Recognition for hard work, resilience in face of ongoing crisis in BW/ SW Regions: Fru Edison, CEO of Dreamland holdings speaks out loud and proud

How do you feel receiving this award?

How long have you been into business?

What message do you have for upcoming businesspeople who are entrapped by the crisis or might be discouraged by the crisis?

And what is your message to what is currently happening in the Region?

Any message to the government?

Response:
I feel truly honored and deeply motivated. This recognition means a lot to me not just as an individual, but as someone who has walked through tough times and remained committed to building something meaningful. It’s a testament to resilience, and it inspires me to keep pushing forward, not only for myself, but for the many others who believe in the power of hard work and vision.

I’ve been honored to receive several awards from media organizations and private institutions over the years, and while I’m grateful for every recognition, it’s worth noting that I’ve never received any from the government. My message to the government is simple: we need more visibility, support, and encouragement for local entrepreneurs especially those who have remained committed to nation-building despite the odds. Recognizing and empowering such efforts can go a long way in fostering hope, economic stability, and lasting peace in our region.

I’ve been in business for 30 years now. My journey began back in 1995, right in a humble container at Commercial Avenue in Bamenda. From those modest beginnings, I’ve grown through resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to serving my community.
