Dr Chi Asafor in Biya's footsteps in Santa: Prescribes education as most powerful weapon for change, not guns

The president and founder of the Mighty Santa has prescribed education to the youths of Santa as the most powerful weapon for development and change and not guns. He calls on the youths as usual to pick up the pens for education and the guns in order to guarantee a brighter future not only for themselves but for the community as a whole. 

Dr Chi Asafor saluted the progress made so far by the Santa Mighty Caucus in fostering education, peace and unity in the subdivision. He expressed kind words of gratitude to all the elite of the subdivision especially Minister Paul Atanga Nji for supporting the Mighty Santa Caucus in its visionary mission to shine the image of the subdivision not only in the domain of education but also in the promotion of peace and unity in Santa subdivision. 

Dr Chi Asafor Cornelius, the genuine intellectual could not end his speech without making mention of the reasons why the mighty Santa Caucus initiated this annual excellence award program for its youths. 

Promoting education of youths is crucial for: Empowering Individuals; Equipping young people with knowledge, skills, and critical thinking to make informed decisions and take control of their lives ; Economic Growth; Developing a skilled and educated workforce that can drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development; Social Mobility;  Providing opportunities for young people to improve their socio-economic status and break cycles of poverty; Civic Engagement,  Educating young people to become active and informed citizens, participating in democratic processes and contributing to their communities; Personal Development;  Fostering personal growth, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence in young people; Breaking Cycles of Poverty: Education can help young people escape poverty and improve their future prospects. Promoting Tolerance and Understanding; Education can foster empathy, tolerance, and understanding among young people from diverse backgrounds.

Overall, promoting education of youths is essential for building a more informed, skilled, and engaged citizenry, and for driving positive change in communities and societies.

On his part, the SDO for Mezam who was present at the ceremony, recognized the resilience of the mighty Santa Caucus in standing by the education of the youths of Santa subdivision. He saluted the untiring efforts of Dr Chi Asafor a fervent promoter of quality education of his young ones across the subdivision. 

Placed under the leadership and guidance of the President of the Republic H. E. Paul Biya, more 140 students drawn from the various fields and levels of education, turned out for the excellence academic awards by the Mighty Santa Caucus organized in Santa this Saturday 22nd, August 2025.

The Santa Mighty Caucus initiated this excellence academic awards to meritorious students in 2021 and is in its 5th edition. 165 students this year will share 13.5million FCFA as scholarships. In all over 400 students have so far benefitted from this awards since it's inception in 2021 and a total of FCFA 45 million.
