At the invitation of Mr Nkfuh Julius Akom- the sub Delegate of agriculture for Misaje, the farmers on Saturday May 16 assembled at the explanade of the Sub delegation of agriculture to receive their packages of farm in-puts donated by FODEC through the ministry of agriculture. The items distributed to the farmers includes among other things; sprayers, liquide organic fertilizers, chemical fertilizers, insecticides, etc.
Before the distribution of these farm in-puts to the farmers, the Sub Delegate of agriculture for Misaje, Nkfuh Julius schooled the farmers on the importance and how to use the various items on their farms . He instructed the farmers to strictly follow the directions for application of these inputs as indicated on information flyers shared to the farmers. He stressed on the fact that if the distributed items are well used, farmers would be able to have higher farm yields.
The items distributed to the farmers were from the TMG INTERNATIONAL for quality agriculture. TMG INTERNATIONAL facilitates the implementation of FODEC program for quality agriculture around the world.
Speaking on behalf of the farmers, Mme Nkenda Margaret saluted the gesture by FODEC to the farmers of Misaje subdivision and said the distribution is timely and essential to increase production from their farms. On behalf of the beneficiaries, she expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Sub Delegate of agriculture of Misaje Subdivision for always being the best friend of farmers and working hard to see that farmers in the Subdivision are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need for increase food production in the Subdivision.
