RE: Confirmation of Continued Commitment to the Bamenda II Waste-to-Energy Project
and Planned Feasibility Study Visit
Mayor Chenwi Peter,
On behalf of Global Ventures of North America, we write to formally confirm that the Bamenda II
Waste-to-Energy Project remains active, valid, and moving forward.
Global Ventures of North America remains committed to the successful development, financing,
construction, and implementation of the Project in partnership with Bamenda II Council.
The signed Public Private Partnership Agreement remains the governing framework between the  parties, and the Project continues to be treated as a priority infrastructure initiative with significant  environmental, economic, energy, and community development benefits for Bamenda II and the
wider region.
For clarity, the Project has not been abandoned, cancelled, or suspended. We are currently working through the necessary internal, logistical, technical, and coordination requirements
needed to advance the Project properly and ensure that our visit to Cameroon is productive,  organized, and aligned with the next phase of work.
At this stage, we confirm that our plan is to be in Cameroon for the feasibility study by August 7, 2026. However, we are actively working to arrive sooner, provided the necessary arrangements,  coordination, and preparatory matters are completed in time.
The purpose of the visit will be to advance the feasibility process, engage with the relevant local stakeholders, review the required project conditions, assess the site and related project requirements, and move the Project closer toward implementation readiness.
Following the feasibility study and related assessments, the objective remains to proceed toward the necessary next steps for the Waste-to-Energy Plant build-out, including the technical,
environmental, financial, operational, and implementation work required to move the Project from planning and validation into execution.
We also recognize the importance of maintaining clear communication with Bamenda II Council and ensuring that Your Office remains properly informed as the Project advances. Our objective
remains to work collaboratively with Bamenda II Council and the relevant stakeholders to move the Project from contractual authorization toward feasibility validation, financing readiness, and eventual implementation.
