DR MAKONGO LAUNCHES URGENT HUMANITARIAN APPEAL FOR BRENDA BUYA: EVERY LIFE MATTERS

🚨 URGENT HUMANITARIAN APPEAL: EVERY LIFE MATTERS 🚨

I have just seen a post from what appears to be the verified Facebook account of Brenda Biya showing the word "Suicide" alongside an image that could reasonably be interpreted as suggesting self-harm or a person lying motionless in bed.

Whether this post reflects a genuine emergency, a misunderstanding, or something else entirely, it should never be ignored.

As a humanitarian and a concerned global citizen, I make this urgent appeal to Meta (Facebook) and the relevant public authorities to treat this as a potential welfare concern and verify her safety as quickly as possible.

I respectfully call upon the competent authorities in Switzerland, France, the United States, and Cameroon—where she has known ties—to coordinate as appropriate to establish the facts and, if necessary, ensure that Brenda Biya receives immediate assistance and protection.

This appeal is not about politics. It is not about family name. It is about the value of a human life.

Every person—regardless of status, nationality, political background, or family—deserves compassion, dignity, and protection when there are credible reasons to fear they may be in danger.

If this post is a cry for help, let us answer it with humanity. If it is not, then confirming her safety is still the right thing to do.

No one should lose their life because those who could act chose to remain silent.

Brenda Biya is first and foremost a human being. Let humanity come before politics.
