MINAT boss warns leaders of Jehovah churches of non respect of State symbols, emblem, anthem ...

Atanga Nji Paul, Minister of Territorial Administration tells leaders of the Jehovah Witness Congregation in Cameroon that singing of the National Anthem, respect of the flag, state seals and institutions is a moal obligation and not an option by all Cameroonians.

The MINAT Boss stated in very firm words that the non-respect of state symbols, emblems and instructions by some Jehovah's Witnesses has become rampant and has to stop immedaitely. He asserted that henceforth, it should be a rule and not the exception by faithful of Jehovah Witnesses.

The MINAT boss did not have kind words for them  as regards  the rejection of vaccination, blood donation, blood  transfusion and health campaigns initiated by the state.
After reading a passage from the Bible on submission to state authorities, the Minister instructed the leaders of the Jehovah's Witnesses to educate their Christians that obedience to state authorities is sacrosanct and non-negotiable, biblically inscribed in Romans 13, verses 1 to 7, on submission to governing authorities. He called on them to take up the moral obligation of educating their followers and also to accompany the state in public policies. With the passing of a presidential decree authorising the existence of the Jehovah's Witness Church since 6th November 1982, they are expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the state. The MINAT boss emphasised that there is no compromise when it comes to state laws. It is not an option but an obligation. He reminded them of the biblical phrase to "Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. "
