Honourable Njingum Musa Mbutoh, a Cameroonian parliamentarian registered under the National Assembly of Cameroon, is participating in the 2026 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 12 to 18. The gathering brings together global leaders, policymakers, private-sector representatives, academics, civil society organisations and media professionals to discuss key challenges and opportunities shaping the global economy and international development.

This year's theme, “Mobilizing Private Capital, Creating Jobs,” places investment and employment at the centre of discussions, with emphasis on how private financing can support development priorities and create more and better jobs. Honourable Njingum Musa Mbutoh's participation places him within these international conversations on economic growth, development financing and the role of public institutions in advancing sustainable development.

The meetings provide an important platform for examining strategies to stimulate private-sector investment, expand employment opportunities and improve living conditions. For Cameroon, these discussions are particularly relevant as the country continues to pursue economic transformation, infrastructure development and job creation. As the Bangkok meetings unfold, attention will focus on the ideas and initiatives emerging from this global gathering and their potential relevance to national development priorities.
