Atanga Nji Hands Presidential Donation To Over 3,500 People In Bamenda
More than 3,500 people from the North-West Region have benefited from a presidential donation handed over by Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji in Bamenda.
The assistance, distributed on Monday at the Bamenda Prefecture, targeted about 650 households, with women making up the majority of beneficiaries.
Atanga Nji said he was carrying a message from President Paul Biya and First Lady Chantal Biya to thank women in the region for their support during the President’s re-election and their mobilisation during preparations for the Pope’s reception.
The minister also announced financial assistance alongside the food supplies and said transportation would be provided free of charge to help beneficiaries return to their respective communities.
He added that the distribution will continue for about a month, assuring those who did not receive the package on Monday that they would receive it in the following days.
